Sothink FLV Player – Free Flash Video Player for Your Desktop
There are several bits and pieces you are going to like about the SourceTec Software-developed application called Sothink FLV Player – and there are some things you are not going to like.
First of all you are going to like the fact that you can download the application in no time at all. The download weighs in at some 3.5MB, so it should not take too long to download. Once downloaded onto your system, you are going to like that you can install Sothink FLV Player on pretty much any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system.
You are also going to like the fact that Sothink FLV Player is freeware. This means you can use it for as long as you want without having to pay a dime.
Last but not least, you are going to like what this application can do. Sothink FLV Player, as the name so adequately points out, can and will play FLV files on your desktop. FLV videos are very common online – they are used by popular video sharing site YouTube for example. While viewing a FLV file online requires only an internet connection and a web browser, things get a bit hairy when you want to view the same file on your desktop. This is because most media players do no provide FLV support. To play a FLV file on such a media player you usually have to convert the FLV file to another format, such as AVI. Then open the converted AVI file with the media player. You can do away with the hassle of converting FLV files by simply selecting a free, easy to use FLV player – like Sothink FLV Player.
With Sothink FLV Player you can play FLV files on your desktop. The media player provides the same controls you would expect to get from any typical media player.
Remember I mentioned above there are some things you are not going to like. Here they are. You are not going to like that during the installation process you cannot select the location where Sothink FLV Player will be installed. Additionally you are not going to like that Sothink FLV Player pushes the ASl.com toolbar on you. Last but not least, you may not like the fact that Sothink FLV Player plays FLV files and FLV files only.
The bottom line is that Sothink FLV Player is a free, easy to use media player that plays FLV files on your desktop. It only plays FLV files – nothing else.
